When we came back to school, we searched a lot of information about Jay Pritzker Pavilion. This place has held a lot of concerts. It's the nation's only remaining free outdoor classical music series. It also hosts a wide range of music series and annual performing arts events.

The voice of China is a talent show. It premiered in 2012. And now it has become one of the famous TV in China. It is so popular that many TV station imitated it. And now most of Chinese know about this TV show. Some of the competitors became popular star and many fans imitated them. And now the voice of China has become a popular cultural in China.

Custom-Made 

In the reading of Custom-Made, I am interested in how did some international companies had to make unique food to adapt the people who have different food custom. As there are many catering companies and chain supermarkets around the world. And people in different country have different food custom. I thought the food in McDonald's were no different between China and America. But now, I found they are very different between each other. I don't like the tasty of the food from McDonald's in America. I was so surprised at first and now I know it's because custom-made.

Review of the Last Emperor

As one of the most mysterious dynasties in China, Qing dynasty has a lot of legendary figures. Puyi was the last emperor of the Qing dynasty. In the Last Emperor , we can learn about a lot of little-known facts about this man. This is a good movie. In fact, it is one of the best movies that I have ever seen.

Bernardo Bertolucci, who is the director of The Last Emperor, won a lot of awards include Academy Awards. He made this movie in the Forbidden City, Beijing. And it was the first western movie that made in the Forbidden City. The main actor John Lone who acted Puyi did an amazing job in this film. He gave a great performance and really knocked me dead. This movie is about Puyi’s journey from an emperor to a prisoner.

In 1908, Aisin-Gioro Puyi became the new emperor of Qing dynasty. After Xinhai Revolution, Puyi was forced to abdicate. He and his family were removed from the Forbidden City in 1924. At the same time, Japanese decided to invade China. They wanted to use Puyi to control China. In 1932, Puyi became the emperor of Manchukuo(a country) with Japanese help. Although Puyi was the emperor of Manchukuo, but the real ruler was the Japanese. After Japan surrendered in 1945，Puyi became a prisoner from an emperor.

Overall, I am going to give this movie 8.9 out of 10 point because I was deeply moved. I recommend you to watch this movie. If you want to know the whole life of Puyi, it is your best choice. In addition, this movie has great plot，and the actors’ performance are amazing.

Black Swan

     

           I read the review of Black Swan from Calvin Wilson who works in St. Lowis Post. The reviewer said the main actress, Natalie Portman did a great a job in this movie. I agree with him. The main actress did an amazing performance. It made me feel I was one of the roles in the story. And I also agree with the reviewer that the plot was very interested. And I urge recommend you to watch this movie.
